Airport Service
Welcome to Winnipeg!
Winnipeg Transit runs bus service to and from the James Armstrong Richardson International Airport between 5:50 a.m. and 12:49 a.m. The bus terminal is located outside the south end of the airport. When you exit the airport you will see a bus shelter and sign at the stop.
Winnipeg Transit operates a 100 percent low floor easy access fleet of buses. Each bus can kneel and deploy a ramp to accommodate two wheelchairs or scooters or a child stroller.
Transit Routes Servicing the Airport
The airport is serviced by the route 15 Sargent/Mountain and the 20 Academy/Watt. When buses leave the airport they will be signed 15 Mountain or 20 Watt. When they are traveling to the airport they will say 15 Sargent or 20 Academy.
Plan Your Trip using Navigo
Winnipeg Transit has 93 routes that reach out to all corners of the city. The easiest and most convenient way to plan your trip with Winnipeg Transit is to use our on-line trip planner Navigo, available on the Winnipeg Transit app.
Planning your trip
Using Navigo is very quick and easy. First, you need to enter your location, ‘From where’ you are departing, followed by a destination location, ‘To where’ you are travelling. When entering this information you have three options for how you want to enter it:
- enter it by street address
- enter it by intersection (ex. Portage @ Donald)
- enter it by “landmark” (ex Radisson Hotel)
Choosing your travel time
After you have entered your starting location and destination you need to enter a time you want to travel. You have several options for how you want to enter your trip time. Your default selection will be to ‘Leave after’ your selected time, but you can change this option to:
- Leave before
- Arrive before
- Arrive after
The default selection for your trip will be ‘Now’ but you can plan ahead by changing the date and time.
Results
Navigo will now plan your trip request and present you with up to five printable trip options and corresponding maps. Results will include directions for walking to and from bus stops, transfers, if applicable, and the total time for your trip.
Advanced features
You can visit ‘My settings’ in the app menu to change variables in Navigo such as your walking speed, minimum and maximum wait times for transfers, and how long you are willing to walk in total for your trip.
