Regular Service
Face masks continue to be strongly recommended for the public. Please avoid visiting City facilities or riding Winnipeg Transit or Transit Plus if you are feeling unwell.
Winnipeg Transit currently operates 84 fixed routes throughout the city. Depending on demand, the scheduled service may include main line routes, express routes or suburban feeders.
- Main line routes
provide service from suburban neighbourhoods to downtown, observing all bus stops, and normally operate seven days a week. - Express routes
operate mainly during rush hour from suburban neighbourhoods, observing a limited number of bus stops to downtown. - Suburban feeders
generally provide service in suburban areas where ridership demand is lower.
When do buses run?
- 365 days a year, usually from 6 a.m. until past midnight; although some routes do not operate seven days a week.
- Weekday rush hours from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., providing the most service available.

- On the following holidays, Winnipeg Transit operates on a Sunday schedule: New Year’s Day, Louis Riel Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Terry Fox Day, Labour Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day (veterans and current serving personnel ride free), Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.
