Winnipeg Folk Festival Express

Ride the Folk FEST EXPRESS!
Just show the driver your valid ticket, wristband or access pass when boarding to ride the Folk Fest Express for free. Enjoy fast and convenient non-stop transit service to and from the festival. A one way trip from Downtown to the festival site is approximately 50 minutes
Folk Fest Express Route and Schedule
Buses will operate NON-STOP from Downtown to the Folk Fest site. Buses will operate from the terminal on Northbound Memorial (between St. Mary and Portage) via north on Memorial, east on Portage, north on Main, north over the Disraeli bridge, north on Henderson, east on Chief Peguis Trail, north on highway 59, east on Garven Road (PR 213), north on PR 206 to the East Park Gate, and west on Festival Drive to the Folk Fest terminal.
Buses will return through Birds Hill Park to south on Highway 59, west on Chief Peguis Trail, south on Henderson, south over the Disraeli bridge, south on Main, west on St. Mary, and north on Memorial to the terminal.

The last bus to the Folk Fest departs at 12 a.m. (Thursday – Saturday). On Sunday night the last bus to the festival site departs at 10:30 p.m. All buses on the Folk Festival Express will be low floor easy access. All passengers must have a seat as standing is not permitted while the Folk Fest Express is in service.
Please note, fare payment is required for any Folk Fest patrons using Regular Route Transit services to/from the downtown terminal of the Folk Fest Express.
Important – last bus departures from the Folk Fest
Thursday – Saturday catch the 12 a.m. or 12:30 a.m. bus from the Folk Fest Site in order to make transfer connections to the last buses leaving downtown. Depending on what route you are transferring to the 12:30 a.m. bus may get you downtown after the last bus so check your transfer schedule before leaving.
On Sunday catch the 10:30 p.m. or 11 p.m. bus from the Folk Fest Site in order to make transfer connections to the last buses leaving downtown.
Folk Fest Express buses will continue to depart from The Park until approximately 1 a.m., Thursday through Sunday, but will not connect with regular routes once downtown.
Terms & Conditions
- Travel time from Downtown to the Folk Festival Site is approximately 50 minutes one-way. Buses will operate non-stop express service from the city limits to the Folk Fest.
- No smoking allowed on the bus
- No Consumption of alcohol or other intoxicants is allowed on the bus
- No Bicycles are allowed on the bus
- All passengers must be seated while buses travel on the highway. No standees allowed.
- Winnipeg Transit makes every effort to maintain the published schedule; however, Winnipeg Transit is not able to guarantee that service disruptions will not occur due to uncontrollable circumstances such as accidents, road and highway construction, or weather. Winnipeg Transit may modify the schedule without notice and cannot accept responsibility for any delays or resulting inconvenience which may occur.
