(AUG 28/23) Riel Closure

As of Aug 28, 2023 08:07, routes 16 and 54 are under the effects of a detour. This detour affects the following stops:

  • 50096 – Eastbound St.Amant Access at St.Amant East
  • 50443 – Eastbound Riel at St. Mary’s
  • 50444 – Westbound Riel at Glen Meadow
  • 50445 – Eastbound Riel at Robertson
  • 50582 – Northbound St Mary’s at Meadowood
  • 50604 – Eastbound St.Amant Access at St.Amant
  • 50687 – Westbound Riel at St. Mary’s

Reroutes are as follows:

  • Routes 16 (Selkirk-Osborne to Kingston Row), 16 (Selkirk-Osborne to Tyndall Park via Burrows) and 16 (Selkirk-Osborne to Tyndall Park via Manitoba) from River Road will reroute following these instructions:
    • Travel along River Road and turn south on to St.Amant Access
    • Continue along St.Amant Access and turn east on to River Road
    • Continue along River Road and turn north on to Minnetonka Street
    • Continue along Minnetonka Street and turn east on to Riel Avenue
    • Continue along Riel Avenue and turn south on to Darwin Street
    • Continue along Darwin Street and turn east on to Riverbend Avenue
    • Continue along Riverbend Avenue which will become Meadowood Drive
    • Return to regular service
  • Route 54 (St. Mary’s Express to St. Amant) from St.Amant Access will reroute following these instructions:
    • Travel along St.Amant Access and turn west on to River Road
    • Continue along River Road and turn east on to Riel Avenue
    • Continue along Riel Avenue and turn south on to Darwin Street
    • Continue along Darwin Street and turn east on to Riverbend Avenue
    • Continue along Riverbend Avenue and turn north on to St Mary’s Road to a temporary stop on Riverbend Avenue between Meadowood Drive and Darwin Street
  • Route 54 (St. Mary’s Express to University of Winnipeg) from St Mary’s Road will reroute following these instructions:
    • Travel along St Mary’s Road and turn west on to Riverbend Avenue
    • Continue along Riverbend Avenue and turn north on to Darwin Street
    • Continue along Darwin Street and turn west on to Riel Avenue
    • Continue along Riel Avenue and turn south on to River Road
    • Continue along River Road and turn north on to St Mary’s Road
    • Return to regular service
  • Route 16 (Selkirk-Osborne to Plaza Dr via St. Vital Centre) from Meadowood Drive will reroute following these instructions:
    • Travel along Meadowood Drive which will become Riverbend Avenue
    • Continue along Riverbend Avenue and turn north on to Darwin Street
    • Continue along Darwin Street and turn west on to Riel Avenue
    • Continue along Riel Avenue and turn south on to Minnetonka Street
    • Continue along Minnetonka Street and turn west on to River Road
    • Continue along River Road and turn west on to St.Amant Access
    • Continue along St.Amant Access and turn west on to River Road
    • Return to regular service
